Corn Maze now open in Ottawa

Event serves as fundraiser for local Camp Fire Council

OTTAWA — Camp Fire USA North Central Illinois Council is again sponsoring its Land of Oz Corn Maze near Ottawa.

The maze is a fundraiser for the local Camp Fire Council. It is now available on weekends through Oct. 25.

Reservations may also be made for visits during the week.

It is a close-to-home activity and does not require a lot of long distance driving.

The maze hours are noon until dusk on Saturdays and Sundays, as well as on Columbus Day. Come any other time by reservation. Cost is $5 per person. Children five and under are free.

The corn maze is a family fun event and appeals to all ages. The Rainbow Cafe will be open to purchase refreshments and snacks. There are picnic tables as well as grills available for use.

If you would like to bring a group during the week, Camp Fire will accommodate your schedule. Please call to make an appointment. The maze makes a good outing for scouting groups, family reunions, campers, fall school trips, church activities, birthday parties and any other “excuse” for a group to get together and have fun.

Night hikes are available by reservation only. Night rates are $7 per person.
