Robert C. Cook

Mr. Robert C. “Cookie” Cook, 83, entered into eternal rest at the Morris Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Morris on Monday morning, March 12, 2012.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 15, at Fruland Funeral Home, 121 W. Jefferson St., in Morris. There will be no funeral service.

Born March 3, 1929, Cookie was a lifelong resident of Morris and a retired employee of the Morris City Public Works Department for over 35 years. He spent the past three years at the Morris Healthcare facility.

Surviving siblings are Eddie Cook of Chicago, Walter “Rocky” Cook of Bolingbrook, Ill., Charlette Perez of Tucson, Ariz., and Charlene Maki of Brandenton, Fla. A sister-in-law, Madelaine “Pat” Cook of Morris, and many nieces and nephews also survive.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Robert and Virginia Cook; his brothers, Meade and Jesse Cook; a sister, Diane Moore; and three infant siblings.
