Churches make mother/daughter events fashionable

Bethlehem Lutheran, First Presbyterian, St. Mary’s all have events upcoming

Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Wauponsee and Jefferson streets, Morris, is hosting a Mother-Daughter Luncheon & Style Show at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 5.

Honor your mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, or a good friend by bringing them to this special event.

Tickets may be purchased April 15 through April 29 by contacting the church. No tickets will be sold at the door.

Tickets for adults are $8 and children, $4.

St. Mary’s CCW

St. Mary’s Council of Catholic Women will present “Second Hand Rose” Sunday, April 22.

This fashion show/luncheon will take place at 1:30 p.m. (doors open at 1 p.m.) at the Whitetail Ridge Golf Club, 7671 Clubhouse Dr., Yorkville.

Featured fashions are by Still Stylin & Dress the Occasion.

Tickets had to be purchased by April 12 and no tickets will be sold at the door.

First Presbyterian

The Outreach/Fellowship Commission of Morris’ First Presbyterian Church will host a Mother/Daughter Luncheon Sunday, May 6.

The event will begin at 1 p.m. in Upper Fellowship Hall with a luncheon catered by Chapin’s.  There will be an adult meal and a children’s meal available. Some of the gentlemen of the congregation will serve the meal to the ladies and children.

The program following the luncheon will be a fashion show held in the Sanctuary.

There will be six to eight downtown Morris stores providing ladies’ apparel and children’s clothing. The girls’ clothing will include infant/toddler/children’s sizes.

The ticket price for the luncheon and fashion show will be $8 per adult and $4 per child (age 12 and under).

All ladies are welcome to come and to invite female family members from within or outside of the church.

Due to limited space in Upper Fellowship Hall, ticket sales will also be limited, so please plan to buy your tickets early.
