Most dangerous intersections in Chicago area

(MCT) — Figures from the Illinois Department of Transportation reveal the most dangerous intersections in the Chicago area.

The Sun-Times reports the intersection at Stony Island and South Chicago Avenues is the most dangerous with 63 crashes in 2010.

La Grange Road at the I-80 westbound ramp in Will County was second with 56 crashes.

Cicero Avenue and 127th in Alsip was third.

North Avenue at First Avenue in Melrose Park came was fourth.

And Ogden Avenue at Illinois in Naperville was the fifth most dangerous intersection.

Of all these accidents in 2010, two were fatal.
