Minooka musicians take part in festival

Several MCHS students earn spots on orchestra, band and choir

MINOOKA — Several Minooka Community High School musicians and singers were selected to perform as part of the Fox Valley Music Festival on Sunday, April 29, and Monday, April 30, at East Aurora High School.

Participants were selected through a nomination process earlier this spring.

The following MCHS student was selected for the festival orchestra: Erin Mathewson, oboe.

The following MCHS students were selected for the festival band: Kayla Bachar, flute; Ashely Grygienc, flute; Austin Scholp, trombone; Haley Reichardt, clarinet; Molly Willeford, bass clarinet; Anna Strle, clarinet; Ryan Volke, euphonium; and Jeff Breunig, tuba.

The following MCHS students were selected for the festival choir: Samantha Ingold; Darcy Chobar; Alli Swank; Robyn Clarke; Carly Garcia; Justin Miner; Kody Isemonger; Bobby Smith; Thomas Russell; and Drew Hargreave.
