Judy I. Briscoe

MINOOKA, Ill. — Mrs. Judy I. (Baltz) Briscoe, 62, of Minooka, Ill., passed away Thursday, May 31, 2012, in her loving home.

Judy is survived by her husband, N. Gene Briscoe; two sons, Jason (Jen) Briscoe and Jarrod (Holly) Briscoe; one grandchild, Jack; two brothers, Joseph D. (Nancy) Baltz and Gerald R. Baltz; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Born in Joliet, Ill., and a lifelong resident of the Minooka and Shorewood area, Judy and Gene were married Nov. 4, 1967. Judy sold real estate for Coldwell Banker Honig-Bell for 18 years. She won numerous awards for sales and revenue, and she was constantly ranked in the Top Ten Realtor and International Presidents Elite Club Recipient for numerous years.

Judy liked auto racing and demolition derby. She loved to travel and loved spending time with family and friends. She also enjoyed playing cards and was a member of St. Mary’s Bridge Club and Troy Homemakers.

Her greatest love was spending time with her grandson and her great-aunt, Katherine (Baltz) Hayes.
Funeral Services for Judy I. Briscoe will be held at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, June 5, from the chapel at Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Road, at Essington Road, Joliet, to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Minooka, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Minooka.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 4, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, Joliet.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.
