Summer safety program planned

SHOREWOOD — Troy TRIAD will present a summer safety kick-off for seniors on Wednesday, June 13 from 9 to 9:45 a.m.

Safety issues that will be discussed include conquering curbs, transferring in and out of cars, preventing of dehydration and signs and symptoms of dehydration, heat stroke, medications affected by the heat and side effects or complications caused by the heat as well as how to protect your skin from the summer sun.

The program is open to all residents of Troy Township and will be held at the Troy Township Community Center located at 25448 Seil Road in Shorewood. Light morning refreshments will be served.

The event includes free admission and free parking but seating is limited.
