SOUTH WILMINGTON, Ill. — Mrs. Veronica Biebuck (Shoudis) Elliott, 94, of South Wilmington, Ill., passed away Thursday, June 14, 2012, at Morris Hospital in Morris, Ill.
Born May 2, 1918, in South Wilmington, to the late Adam and Eva (Youskevtch) Shoudis, she was a member of the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in South Wilmington.
Veronica retired from the Dwight Woman’s Penitentiary in Dwight, ll. She was also employed at Barnett’s Café in Braidwood, Ill., and also had a beauty shop in her home for 18 years. She volunteered at Fox Development Center in Dwight for 20 years.
Surviving are one special cousin, Tony Youskevtch of Gardner, Ill.; very dear friends and caretakers, Cindy and Joe Winchell of South Wilmington; and also dear friends Chuck and Betty Christensen.
Preceding her in death were two husbands, Edward M. Biebuck (1985) and Gene J. Elliot (1991); five brothers, Peter Shoudis, Joseph Shoudis, Adam Shoudis, William Shoudis, and John Shoudis; eight sisters, Frances Haas, Catherine Walentukois, Anna Andruskevtch, Julia Earmann, Ella Lenzie, Mary Dicks, Josephine Azuka, and Eva Shoudis; and one special cousin, William Herman.
Funeral services will be from the R.W. Patterson Funeral Homes, Ltd., South Wilmington Chapel, at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, June 19, to the St. Lawrence Catholic Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m.
Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Braidwood.
Visitation will be also be Tuesday, June 19, from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be made to the St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
