Man arrested after an incident involving envelope of pubic hair

A Morris man was arrested Saturday after he allegedly gave a woman an envelope filled with pubic hair.

According to Morris Police Department records, at about 1:15 p.m., an officer was dispatched to a disorderly conduct call at R-Place Family Eatery, 21 Romines Dr., Morris.

Deputy Chief Harvey Van Cleave said at one point, Robert Gilbertson, 82, of Morris, allegedy handed an envelope that was said to have contained pubic hair to a 32-year-old woman at the restaurant.

According to the department’s news release, he was arrested for disorderly conduct after the woman complained about his actions, which alarmed and disturbed several restaurant employees.

According to police records, the incident was Gilberton’s second run-in with police Saturday. Just before noon, a second patrolman found his car parked illegally and running at the intersection of Illinois Avenue and Wauponsee Street, without him in the vehicle.

The patrolmen allegedly approached the car and saw an open bottle of beer in the center console. When Gilbertson arrived at the car, the officer cited him for illegal transportation of alcohol.

Gilbertson was held at the Grundy County jail on $120 bond for the disorderly conduct charge.
