A Newark business reported its third burglary in less than a month over the weekend, according to Kendall County officials.

At about 10:40 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, according to the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office report, deputies were dispatched to Vulcan Materials Company at 10425 Joliet Road, in Lisbon Township, to a reported burglary.

There, they determined an unidentified suspect stole $10,000 in copper wire from gravel crushing equipment. The theft took place sometime between 3:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 10 through 10:15 a.m. Saturday.

Two prior burglaries, reported on July 16 and Aug. 9, included the theft of more than $5,600 in materials combined.
