ENGAGEMENT: Thain-McLuckie

Lisa Allison McLuckie and Max Robert Thain, both of Springfield, Ill., announce their engagement and approaching marriage.

The ceremony and reception will be on Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012, at the Patrick C. Haley Mansion in Joliet, Ill.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Donald and Teresa McLuckie of Morris. Her grandfather is Norbert McLuckie of Diamond and her grandparents are Dorothy and Jim Toman of Naperville.

The prospective groom is the son of Dr. Dennis and Julianne Thain of Antioch, Ill. His grandparents are Dr. Alan and Sophey Thain of Antioch and Vern and Key Haynes of Highland, Ind.

Lisa graduated in 2007 from Coal City High School, and from Illinois Wesleyan University in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and received her CPA license in 2012. She is employed as a CPA for Kerber, Eck, and Braeckel in Springfield as an auditor.

Max graduated from Carmel Catholic High School in Mundelein, Ill., in 2007 and from Illinois Wesleyan University in 2011 with a bcahelor’s degree in mathematics. He is employed with Midwest Insurance Company in Springfield as a claims analyst.
