Two teenage girls were sent to Morris Hospital after a two-vehicle crash on Illinois 47 Wednesday.

According to a Morris Police Department report, the crash occurred when a 2004 Ford Explorer driven by Josephine E. Hogue, 48, of Marseilles, was exiting the McDonald’s parking lot at 1700 N. Division Street, turning left onto Division Street.

She told police she pulled onto Division Street when a driver stopped prior to the exit motioned for her to exit and did not see a second vehicle, a 1996 Ford Ranger driven by Alexander Bollie, 19, of Morris, when the collision occurred.

Bollie told police he was driving south on Division Street when Hogue pulled out in front of him. He said he attempted to apply his brakes but couldn’t avoid a collision.

Two passengers in his vehicle, who both were listed as wearing seat belts, were taken to Morris Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Hogue was cited for failure to yield.
