A Morris woman was arrested for alleged impaired driving after she struck a parked vehicle and left the scene early Wednesday.

According to Morris Police Department records, Holly C. Brooke, 35, of 316 W. Washington Street, was traveling south in the 200 block of Fulton Street in a 2009 Chevy Malibu when she allegedly veered to the right and struck a 1995 Ford Thunderbird that was parked.

The Thunderbird was pushed into a another vehicle, a 1993 Saturn SL.

A witness told police they did not see the accident, but heard it and went out side and confronted the driver, whom he knew.

The witness said he tried to get the driver, Brooke, to stay when she tried to leave.

She allegedly fled the scene on foot and was later located and returned to the scene and was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

She was also cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and leaving the scene of an accident with property damage.
