The Morris Lions Club members are busy preparing for their 26th annual Fall Classic Car Show at LyondellBasell Recreation Area on Sunday, Oct. 14.

One of the largest car shows in the area, it features not only up to 1,000 classic show cars, but also offers a Swap Meet and Car Corral for those wishing to browse or buy cars or car related items.  The car show is located five miles east of Morris on U.S. 6 at Tabler Road.

Show car owners can register their cars from 7 a.m. until noon, to be ready for judging and awards at 3:30 p.m. This is a judged show, featuring 43 classes with three awards per class, for a $15 registration fee for those not already pre-registered. Eight special awards will also be given. The first 650 show cars will receive dash plaques, as they register their cars.

Spectators can attend for a $5 donation. Tickets will be available for the Raffle Car:  a 1968 Ford Mustang from Volo Auto Museum.
