A Hanover Park man was cited by Morris police after a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Meadowbrook Lane and Lynwood Drive on Saturday.

According to the Morris Police Department report, the crash took place when a vehicle driven by Gregory R. Wieczorkowski, 22, allegedly failed to stop at the intersection.

Michael A. Cortez, 27, of 1810 Lisbon Road, told police he was traveling west on Meadowbrook Lane when his 1996 Cadillac Seville was struck by Wieczorkowski, who was traveling north on Lynwood Drive.

A witness traveling behind Wieczorkowski confirmed to police he failed to stop, and Wieczorkowski told police he was not paying attention and slowed for the stop sign and may have not stopped completely before proceeding into the intersection.

Wieczorkowski was cited for disobeying a stop sign and Cortez was cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
