Two arrested for retail theft at Morris Walmart

Morris police arrested two area women Saturday for retail theft at Walmart.

At about 4:55 p.m., according to a Morris Police Department report, an officer arrested Karry Coatney, 44, and Sandra VanCleave, 25, both of Morris, after they were allegedly observed by undercover Walmart security officers leaving the store without paying for about $160 in merchandise.

The women were taken to the police department and each charged with a count of misdemeanor retail theft. Coatney was taken to the Grundy County jail in lieu of bond, while VanCleave posted $150 cash and released from custody.
