BLOOMINGTON (MCT) — A custodian at Heartland Community College faces charges accusing him of video recording a security guard in a locker room at the college.

Jacob Davidson, 29, of the 100 block of Northfield Drive in Normal is charged in connection with a Sept. 28 incident in which a female security guard was allegedly recorded by Davidson on his cellphone while she was undressed. According to a prosecutor’s statement, the woman was in the process of weighing herself when she was recorded.

College spokesman Josh Reinhart said the school is aware of the incident that involved two contractual workers who are not Heartland employees. Normal police are handling the complaint, he said.

Davidson was jailed in lieu of posting $525 on a charge of unauthorized video recording. He is scheduled for an Oct. 19 arraignment.
