BRACEVILLE, Ill. — Mrs. Marjorie (Broucek) Lissy, 90, of Braceville, Ill., passed away Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, with her loving family by her side at Heritage Health Therapy and Senior Care in Dwight, Ill.
Born Sept. 28, 1922, in Braceville Township to the late John and Rose (Hnethovsky) Broucek I, Marjorie loved her flowers, had a passion for her garden, and enjoyed canning. She was an avid Euchre, Scrabble, and Solitaire player.
Surviving are three sons, James (Mary) Lissy of Morris, Ill., Raymond (Kathy) Lissy of Braceville, and Leroy (Kathy) Lissy of Braceville; one daughter, Carol (Bill) Pohl of Gardner, Ill.; one brother, John (Marge) Broucek II of Braceville; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Anton T. Lissy, whom she married Jan. 13, 1939, in Morris; two grandchildren, David Lissy and Ben Louch; and one sister, Helen Sikora.
Funeral services will be at the R.W. Patterson Funeral Homes Ltd., Braidwood Chapel, 401 E. Main St., Braidwood, at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, with visitation two hours preceding services. Interment will be in Braceville-Gardner Cemetery in Braceville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her name may be directed to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation.
