Shirley M. Severson

Ms. Shirley M. Severson, 69, of Morris, passed away Tuesday morning, Oct. 22, 2012, at Morris Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

Born May 16, 1943, in Streator, Ill., Shirley was the daughter of John and Thelma (Knudson) Severson. She received her education in the Kinsman grade schools and attended Seneca High School.

She was employed at the Illinois Valley Sheltered Workshop.

She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church.

Shirley enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles and playing bingo.

Survivors include three uncles, Emmett Severson of Joliet, Ill., Edmond Severson of California and Donald Severson of Morris; one aunt, Ruth Polezos of Oak Lawn; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and several aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at Fruland Funeral Home, 121 W. Jefferson St., in Morris.  Pastor  Patrick Lohse will officiate.

Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at at the funeral home from 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, until the time of service.

Memorials may be directed to Morris Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
