Deputies take Gardner man into custody for drug possession and obstructing police

Grundy County deputies arrested Timothy D. Grimes, 29, of Gardner, early Wednesday on charges that he possessed drugs and obstructed deputies.

According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Department arrest report, at about 2:05 a.m., Grimes allegedly failed to follow a deputy’s instructions as the deputy was investigating an incident on patrol at 312 W. Main Street in Gardner, attempted to flee and also pushed the deputy.

Grimes also allegedly possessed between 10 to 30 grams of a substance containing cannabis at the time of the incident.

Grimes was arrested for resisting, obstructing a peace officer and possession of cannabis 10-30 grams. He posted $150 and was released from custody.
