Roxanne L. Aper

GENESO, Ill. — Roxanne L. Aper, 50, of Geneseo, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012 at the Hammond Henry Hospital Emergency Room, Geneseo, Ill.

Born Dec.27, 1961, in Morris, Roxanne was the daughter of William and Beverly (Berta) Rehberg. She was a 1980 graduate of Newark High School and graduated in 1984 from Eastern Illinois University with a bachelor's degree in music education.

Roxanne was united in marriage to David P. Aper on June 21, 1986, in Morris. She has been the music director for Annawan High School for the last 27 years.

Roxanne was a member of St. Malachy Catholic Church in Geneseo. She loved music, her family, attending all their events and spending time with them.

Survivors include her husband, Dave; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Geoffrey and Brianna Aper, and their son, Kyson of Bettendorf, Iowa, Jonathan Aper, a student at Illinois State University in Normal, Ill., and Noah Aper, at home; her mother, Beverly Rehberg of Lisbon, Ill.; one brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Stacy Rehberg of Lisbon, Ill.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Marcee and Don Brummel of Somonauk, Ill., and Melissa and Rob Sigler of Plainfield, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews.

Roxanne was preceded in death by her father and grandparents.

A funeral mass celebrating Roxanne’s life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 29, at St. Malachy Catholic Church, Geneseo. Rev. Michael Pakula will officiate.

Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Geneseo.

A visitation for Roxanne will be held from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, at Vandemore Funeral Home, Geneseo Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to the Roxanne Aper Memorial Fund.
