Mr. William G. Cunnea, 67, of Morris, passed away early Monday morning, Oct. 29, 2012, at Walnut Grove Healthcare Center in Morris.
Born April 7, 1945, in Harvey, Ill., William was a son of Edward and Catherine (Lemons) Cunnea. He attended Bloom Township High School in Chicago Heights, Ill.
William served in the U.S. Army in Korea and the U.S. Navy on the East Coast.
For many years, he was employed with Illinois Bell Telephone Company in Alsip, Ill. For the last 20 years, he has resided in Morris.
William was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs, Bears and Bulls.
Survivors include four sisters, Mary Davis of Steger, Ill., Janet (Jim) Sharpe of Florida, Catherine (Edwin) Schwalm of Florida and Dorothy Cunnea of Morris; two brothers, Edward (Sue) Cunnea of Morris and Edwin (Marilyn) Cunnea of Michigan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in by his parents, and one brother, John Cunnea.
There will be no funeral service.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31, at the Fruland Funeral Home, 121 W. Jefferson St., Morris.
Interment will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 1,. at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Rev. Edward J. Howe, CR will officiate. Military honors will be provided by the Morris Color Guard.
