Grundy County deputies arrested Taylor M. Kessel, 22, of Joliet, for obstructing a peace officer Sunday, Oct. 28 at 690 W. Judson Street, Carbon Hill.

According to the criminal complaint, Kessel allegedly obstructed the performance of a Grundy County deputy and sergeant and two Coal City officers who were attempting to arrest her.

She allegedly pushed and pulled away from a deputy and ran away from the deputy into a nearby field, and resisted arrest by attempting to pull away from a sergeant and the officers.

Grundy County Sheriff’s Department personnel were called to the scene at about 3:20 a.m. to reports of a woman yelling and knocking on doors at a Carbon Hill apartment building, the arrest report showed.

Kessel was taken to the Grundy County jail, where she posted $150 bond and was released from custody.
