Braceville driver charged with driving under the influence

Morris police arrested a 21-year-old Braceville man early Saturday on charges he was driving impaired.

According to the Morris Police Department report, at about 1:10 a.m. Nicholas A. Martin was arrested at 200 E. High Street following a traffic stop for improperly passing a semi truck and cars in the intersection of Division Street and Bedford Road.

Martin was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving under the influence of alcohol over .08 percent. According to the report, police recovered alcoholic beverages from Martin’s vehicle. He was also cited for improper passing.

He was released after a $300 bond was posted on his behalf and he posted his driver’s license.
