Alexander Michael Hoffman

CABERY, Ill. — Mr. Alexander Michael Hoffman, 17, of Cabery, Ill., passed away suddenly, Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, at his home.

Alexander was born March 24, 1995 in Hinsdale, Ill. He was a senior at Tri-Point High School in Cullom, Ill. He played on the junior varsity football team for the Iroquois West Raiders for two years.

Alexander was employed by the Cabery Bar & Grill in Cabery. He attended the Herscher Christian Church in Herscher, Ill., and Congregation Beth Shalom in Naperville, Ill.

Alex was aspiring to attend the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign to study family law. He enjoyed working on cars and trucks with his father, Tom.  He was a wonderful musician, loved his X-Box and he was an avid reader of non-fiction books. He enjoyed sports and loved the Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs.

Survivors include his father and step-mother, Thomas and Becky Hoffman of Cabery, Ill.; mother and step-father, Selena (Golinkin) Rochlis of Naperville, Ill.; maternal grandparents, Herbert and Adrienne Golinkin of Naperville, Ill.; paternal grandmother, Judith Hoffman of Naperville, Ill.; aunts and uncles, Holly Hoffman of Lombard, Ill., Greg (Sandy) Hoffman of Oswego, Ill., and Norman (Rachel) Golinkin of Buffalo Grove, Ill., and Susan Rochlis of Ingleside, Ill.; cousins, Samantha and Allison Hoffman of Oswego, Ill., and Austin and Emma Golinkin of Buffalo Grove, Ill.; and many more aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Jennifer Kathleen Sutton.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, at the R.W. Patterson Funeral Homes, Ltd., Braidwood Chapel. Rev. Tyson Graber and Rabbi Marc Rudolph will officiate.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7.

Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Morris.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
