JOLIET, Ill. — Winkage Inc., a social media app provider, recently introduced their free app “Winkage” to the patrons at the Tilted Kilt in Joliet, Ill. The application allowed customers and employees to use their smart phones to “check in” to the location-specific venue and “shout out” via a chat room message board to the other participants at the Tilted Kilt.
Continually creating a unique customer experience is a challenge in the restaurant industry.
“Attracting customers has its own set of challenges.,” said Vinnie, director of operations at the Tilted Kilt in Joliet, Ill. and Roselle, Ill. “However, it is when they are here that it is critical to deliver a memorable experience and we believe the Winkage app can enhance what we are already delivering.”
Winkage allows people to interact with others by posting comments and pictures as well as sending private “Winks,” or texts, to those signed in to the venue.
“Everyone goes out to have fun and make a social connection,” Winkage co-founder David DeGrazia says.
“The Winkage app allows our users to do both at a place where like-minded people hang-out. It also gives them the peace of mind that anything they type will be completely cleared the next morning.” And that is what Vinnie Director of Operations is banking on; he believes that the app can further improve the Kilt’s Monday Night Football and Saturday night KLUB KILT events.
