GODLEY, Ill. — Mr. Leonard L. Harrison Jr., 51, of Godley, Ill., and formerly of Joliet, Ill., passed away Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet.
Born Jan. 25, 1961, in Joliet, Leonard is a son of Leonard Sr. and Blanche Kinkin-Harrison of Wilmington. Leonard was a graduate of Joliet Township High School with the Class of 1979 and was previously employed by the city of Joliet, with the Parking Enforcement Department.
He was a member of Abundant Life Fellowship Church and belonged to Golds Gym. Leonard enjoyed the “oldies” and could often be found watching old T.V. shows and movies, listening to his HAM radio, or going for walks.
Survivors include his parents; his wife, the former Joyce Dillinger; two children, Maria Harrison and Adam Harrison, both of Godley; and two grandchildren, Maya Renee and Breanna Moreen; and two aunts and one uncle, Helen King, Glenn Harrison and Norberta Lavicka.
Leonard was preceded in death by his, son Leonard L. Harrison III, on Nov. 19, 2008.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, at Freitag-Reeves & Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road, Wilmington. Funeral services will follow at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 12, in the funeral home, with Pastor Greg Linkous officiating. Burial will be in Miller Cemetery in Spring Valley, Ill.
