JOLIET, Ill. — Ms. Jessica L. Jeffries, 33, of Joliet, Ill., and formerly of Wilmington, Ill., passed away Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012, as the result of injuries sustained in an motor vehicle accident.

Born Nov. 11, 1978, in Joliet, Jessica is a daughter of Dennis L. and Evelyn E. Sanders-Jeffries of Odell, Ill. She was raised and educated in Wilmington, and was currently working as a CNA with Vitas Innovative Hospice Care. She formerly held employment with Sunny Hill Nursing Home in Joliet.

Jess will be remembered for her love of butterflies, and held special the time spent with her children and being involved in their activities.

Survivors include her parents; her husband, Robert Gregory; five children, Zackary Gregory, Zariah Gregory, Zayden Jeffries, Za'nyah Gregory and Zakian Jeffries; two step children, Eric Gregory and Erica Gregory; maternal grandfather Clarence Sanders of Frankfort; paternal grandmother Shirley Gordon of Alabama; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; as well as her best friends, Kiki Byrd and Roxanne Graf.

Jess was preceded in death by her brother, Steven L. Jeffries; maternal grandmother Evelyn Sanders; and paternal grandfather Ben Gordon.

Visitation and video tribute will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, at Freitag-Reeves & Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road, Wilmington. Funeral services will follow at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, in the funeral home, with the Rev. Dr. Roy Backus officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Wilmington.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Jess' memory to her family for their distribution.
