Donations are needed to help maintain cemetery for future

We need your help!

The Mazon Brookside Cemetery Association is asking for donations to help maintain the cemetery for the future. We are dangerously close to our maintence funds being exhausted.

Many cemeteries are experiencing financial difficulties. If we can not fund the maintenance, Mazon Township will have to take on the responsibility.

There are three cemeteries within  Mazon Township. If this happens, it will likely mean higher taxes on our real estates taxes for the township.

If anyone has a loved one and family member buried in Mazon Brookside Cemetery and would like to help, please send donations to Mazon State Bank, PO Box 367, Mazon, Ill., Attn: Kay Johnson. Checks should be made out to Mazon Brookside Cemetery Assn., marked for GENERAL FUND.

We would like to continue the standard of maintenance that we have had for the life of the cemetery to date.  We on the cemetery board are all volunteers and we can only do what we have the capability to do.

Our cemeteries are all part of our past and future. Thank you.
