JoEllyn Johnson and her grandson Gryphon Wills put the finishing touches on the “Frosty” tree.

One of the many themed trees available for silent auction will be featured at the Grundy County Historical Society’s Festival of Trees, which takes place from noon to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, at the museum.

There will also be wreaths, centerpieces, Northwestern Bubble Bum machines and great raffle prizes, too.

Festival of Trees is one of the major fundraisers held to support Grundy County Historical Society’s Museum.

Proceeds from this event helps to maintain the museum, 510 W. Illinois Ave., preserving the county’s history for generations to come.
