OTTAWA, Ill. — Marketing professionals from OSF Saint Elizabeth Medical Center recently accepted an award from the Illinois Society for Healthcare Marketing and Public Relations (ISHMPR) at its annual conference held in Chicago earlier this month.
The yearly competition among state-wide hospitals, health care systems and ad agencies resulted in an “Award of Merit” for the Ottawa hospital. ISHMPR created the Pinnacle Awards Program to recognize its members for the challenging, creative work they do on a daily basis and to recognize excellence in clear and effective marketing and public relations communication.
“We are pleased to have been honored in this contest. We submitted an advertising campaign based on the transition of our hospital from the old Ottawa Regional name to its new OSF Saint Elizabeth brand,” said Karen Brodbeck, director of marketing for the hospital. “We’d also like to give recognition to MBB/hippo, the agency that OSF HealthCare uses to collaborate on such projects. They were terrific partners and offered great creative insight.”
“Overall, the award program is a friendly competition amongst our peers,” added Brianne Riley, a colleague of Brodbeck’s who also contributed to the project. “It’s rewarding to see that others within our industry recognize and find value in the marketing content we work so hard to place within our community.”
The campaign ran locally from May 1 through July 31. Individual components consisted of newspaper and Internet ads, radio spots and billboards. Judging was based on several criteria including design and execution as well as defined goals and measurable results.
OSF Saint Elizabeth, a 99-bed acute care facility, has been dedicated to providing efficient and quality health care to the Ottawa community since 1895. For more information, visit the hospital website at www.osfsaintelizabeth.org or its Facebook page at www.facebook.com/OSFSaintElizabeth.
