One driver in crash arrested, other cited

Morris police arrested a Coal City man and cited a Channahon woman following a two-vehicle crash Monday in Morris.

According to the police report, the crash took place at the intersection of Division Street and E. Washington Street.

A 1994 Ford F-150 driven by Brandi A. McCleary, 19, of Channahon, was reportedly stopped in the south left-turn lane of Division Street, at the intersection, as a 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by John J. Moore, 34, of Coal City was traveling north on Division Street.

McCleary next allegedly started to turn left into the path of Moore, whose light was green, and her front driver’s side struck Moore’s.

No injuries were reported, but police cited McCleary for failure to yield turning left and arrested Moore for driving with a suspended license. He posted $150 bond and was released from custody.
