JJC to host Skilled Trades Career Day

JOLIET, Ill. — To help connect qualified workers with the increasing number of employment opportunities in trades such as manufacturing, industrial maintenance and machining, JJC is hosting its first Skilled Trades Career Day on Thursday, Nov. 29.

The job fair will run from 1 to 3 p.m. in the T-Building on Main Campus, 1215 Houbolt Rd. in Joliet. JJC students, alumni, veterans and community job seekers who have a mechanical/technical skill set or experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment are invited to attend.

JJC Career Services is hosting the event in partnership with the technical department, Illinois Department of Employment Security (IDES), National Able Network (military-to-civilian employment program), alumni relations, workforce services and local high schools.
