Sally Ann Neary

Sally Ann Neary, 65, of Morris, passed away Monday, Nov. 26, 2012, at Silver Cross Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born June 25, 1947, Sally was the daughter of the late Catherine (nee Boucher) and John Reuter in Joliet, Ill., where she was raised and educated. She graduated with the class of 1965 at St. Francis Academy.

Sally, a 37-year resident of Morris, was employed by the Morris Police Department for many years.

She really enjoyed being with her family and friends. She was one of the "Ya-Ya Girls" and was a charter member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Women's Auxiliary #1024. She was a great cook, and she enjoyed her cooking shows, crime dramas and court shows.

She was the beloved wife of 37 years to Timothy A.M. Neary, and loving mother of Timmy and Kristen Neary. She is also survived by numerous cousins, in-laws, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and her granddog, Princess.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Bill Reuter; and her favorite dog, Mandy.

As it was Sally's wish, cremation rites will be accorded.

All friends and relatives are invited to gather at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home in Morris from 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, until the memorial service at 4 p.m. Rev. Steve Larson will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Sally's name can be made to the American Cancer Society.

Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 1201 W. U.S. 6 at Deerpath Dr., Morris, is in charge of arrangements. For more information, call (815) 942-5040 or visit the website www.fredcdames.com.
