Dec. 1 drive to benefit young families

Donations to support Pregnancy Resource Center

COAL CITY — Liberty Medical in Coal City is hosting a open house and toiletry drive from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1 to support the Pregnancy Resource Center.

The Living Alternatives “Boutique” is in need of diapers all sizes, wipes, formula, clothing preemie thru 2T (gently used or new) and small toys. The center, which is set to open soon in Grundy County, will offers a “hand up” to young families, parenting classes and many other helpful resources to young families in the area.

Liberty Medical will offer free blood pressure checks and cholesterol check. Please come fasting for a cholesterol check and enjoy refreshments after. Coffee, hot cocoa and cookies will be available.

For every donation made, participants will receive a raffle ticket for many prizes, such as gift cards. There will be a holiday coloring contest for ages 4-12 with a prize for first place in age groups.

If you would like to make a donation, you can attend the drive or drop a donation off at the office located at 4 East North Street in Coal City.
