Morris man arrested after threatening officer

Morris police arrested a Morris man Saturday for allegedly threatening to shoot at police.

According to the Morris Police Department report, at about 5:25 p.m., police responded to a loud noise complaint at 510 Narvick Ave. in Morris.

While investigating the complaint, police allege that Michael Lithgow, 53, who lives at the address, threatened an officer by pointing at his face and threatening to shoot him.

As he was was taken into custody, Lithgow reportedly refused to be handcuffed by police.

He was treated for minor injuries at Morris Hospital and released to police custody.

Lithgow was charged with aggravated assault and resisting a peace officer. He posted $150 bond and was released from custody.
