Morris man taken to hospital following two-vehicle accident

A Morris man was taken to an Aurora hospital Thursday, Nov. 29 following a two-vehicle crash in Oswego Township.

According to the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office report, the crash took place at 6:50 a.m. at 7201 Illinois 71, when a vehicle driven by Jason R. Ross, 27, of 1809 Anne Lane, fell asleep at the wheel while traveling north on Illinois 71, crossed the center line and collided with a semi traveling south. The semi’s driver was identified as Michael J. Romano, 50, of Elgin.

Ross was taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center, where he was treated and released, according to Courtney Satlak, the hospital’s public relations manager. Ross was also cited for improper lane usage.
