Grundy County office thanks all who donated to toy drive

Published: Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012 6:59 a.m. CDT

The Grundy County Environmental and Resource and Conservation Office thanks all of the residents and county staff who gave gently used toys, games, baby toys and books to the 2012 Toy Drive.

Toys were collected from the Morris, Coal City and Minooka libraries, at the Grundy County Administrative Building, White Oak Elementary in Morris, Dawn of a New Day Care in Mazon, and four new bikes were received from Nettle Creek HEC group.

The toys were distributed to the Methodist Church of Mazon for the Toys for Joy program, the Chicago Rotary and also to Grundy County We Care (new bike donations.)

Besides the generous residents and staff who gave for this worthy cause, thanks also goes to Park Point Rehabilitation Center in Morris for sanitizing the stuffed animals. Thank you Grundy County for giving to those who have very little. You have made their Christmas holiday brighter.
