ROUNDUP: Halliday powers Lady Coalers to win

LISLE — Coal City was a 42-36 winner over Timothy Christian Wednesday in varsity girls basketball play at the Lisle Holiday Cage Classic.

Emily Halliday scored 20 points on 7-of-13 shooting and added 7 rebounds and 6 steals for the Lady Coalers (11-2). Britta Spelde added 11 points and 7 rebounds. Donjeta Shabani's 9 rebounds were a team high.

BATAVIA — Emily Knaub scored 17 points for the Indians (14-1) Wednesday at the Batavia Holiday Tournament.

BATAVIA — The Indians fell to 7-6 overall at the "A" level Wednesday at the Batavia Holiday Tournament. Minooka's "B" team (6-1) also lost 26-5 to York.

MARSEILLES — Blake Huseman scored 23 points Wednesday for Dwight at the Marseilles Holiday Tournament. Triston Dircks and Owel Pulver each added 8.

Tinley Park Tournament

TINLEY PARK — Tristin Martin, Troy Mutz and Zach Romak all had first-place finishes over the weekend for the Morris Little Redskins. Jack Gillen was second, Bryce Claypool, Julian Gonzalez, Ella McDonnell, Paul Mitchell and Paxton Welch were third and Joe Muscato, Aidan Romak and Mason Young were fourth.
