Joliet youths arrested for retail theft at Walmart

Victor G. Ramirez, 18, of Joliet and a juvenile female of Joliet, were both arrested by Morris police Dec. 29 on a charge of retail theft.

Ramirez was also charged with obstructing a peace officer after giving police a false name and birth data.

The two were detained at Walmart when a store Loss Prevention Officer observed them concealing merchandise and then trying to leave the store without paying for it.

Both were taken to the Morris Police Department. The girl was released to her parents and $150 bond was posted Ramirez. He was given a Jan 14 court date.
