Lila E. Muzzarelli

SOUTH WILMINGTON, Ill. — Mrs. Lila E. Muzzarelli, 90, formerly of South Wilmington, Ill., late of Dwight, Ill., passed away Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013, at Heritage Health Therapy and Senior Care in Dwight

Born Nov. 10, 1922, in South Wilmington, Lila was the daughter of the late William H. and Clema (Residori) Williams. From the age of two, following the death of her mother two days after the birth of her brother, Lila was raised by her devoted father and loving paternal and maternal grandparents.

Lila was a member of the United Methodist Church in South Wilmington and the church’s Star Club. She had previously been employed at Coils, Inc. in Dwight.

Lila loved keeping house.

Survivors include her husband, Alfred J. Muzzarelli of Dwight, whom she married Nov. 28, 1942, in St. Louis, Mo.; one son, John (Nancy) Muzzarelli of Daytona Beach, Fla.; and one grandson, Cale Muzzarelli of Irving, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her brother, John H. Williams; paternal grandparents, John and Mary Ann Williams; and maternal grandparents, Angelo and Lisa Residori.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at the United Methodist Church, 225 Rice St., South Wilmington, Ill., 60474. Visitation is two hours preceding services.Pastor Kevin Boesen will officiate.

Interment will be at Braceville-Gardner Cemetery, Braceville, Ill.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her name to the United Methodist Church in South Wilmington would be appreciated.
