Rose I. Kufrin

Ms. Rose I. Kufrin, 87, of Morris, Ill., and formerly of Hinsdale, Ill., passed away peacefully Monday afternoon,  Jan. 7, 2013. in Walnut Grove Village.

Friends may call on Saturday, Jan. 12, from 1 p.m. until the time of funeral services at 2:30 p.m., with the Rev. Fr. Edward J. Howe, CR, of Immaculate Conception Church officiating, at U. C. Davis & Sons Funeral Home Ltd., 301 W. Washington St., Morris.

Interment will be on Monday, Jan. 14, in Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.

Born Aug. 31, 1925, in Hinsdale, she was the daughter of Paul and Caroline Misic Kufrin. She was employed as a secretary with Crane Company in Chicago for over 30 years.

In the early 1990s, she left Hinsdale and moved to Morris to make her home at Elliott Manor. She enjoyed spending time visiting with her friends at Elliott Manor and her loving family, especially her nieces and nephews.

Rose was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Morris.

Surviving are her two sisters, Violet Stavrovich of Morris and Sylvia Quick of Lombard, Ill., and one brother, George Kufrin of Sister Bay, Wis., along with several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her twin sister, Caroline.

Serving as her pallbearers will be Al Knight, Brian Knight, Dan Quick, Mike Quick, Don Kufrin and Ken Moll.

Preferred form of remembrance would be memorial gifts in Rose’s memory directed to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
