KANKAKEE, Ill. – State Representative Katherine “Kate” Cloonen (D-Kankakee)will host a series of local coffee shop stops designed to generate informal discussions with local residents throughout the 79th district.
“My goal as state Representative is to be as open and accessible to my constituents as possible,” Cloonen said. “I plan to hold these coffee shop visits and other events on a regular basis throughout the year.”
Cloonen will make the stops across the 79th district beginning Jan. 29. A full schedule will be released later this month. Any local restaurant interested in hosting one of these events is encouraged to contact Cloonen’s office. The first stop will be on Tuesday, January 29, from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. at Carlo’s Restaurant located at 2060 W. Station St. in Kankakee.
