SENECA, Ill. — Mrs. Dawn A. Bulian, 70, of Seneca, Ill., passed away Monday evening, Jan. 14, 2013, at Morris Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center after a 20-year courageous battle with breast cancer, which never destroyed her spirit.
There will be no visitation nor funeral service. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Born July 3, 1942, in Coal City, Ill., she was the daughter of Oval and Paralee (Arnold) Poyner. She graduated from Mazon High School with the Class of 1961.
Dawn married Robert Bulian on Oct. 23, 1965. They lived most of their married life in the Morris area. For several years she was employed as the bakery manager at Testa’s IGA in Coal City.
She enjoyed bird watching and wildlife and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by one son, Aaron (Danielle) Bulian of Marseilles; five brothers, Orris (Norma) Poyner of London, Ky., Evert (Ruth) Poyner of Pittsfield, Ill., Johnnie (Donna) Poyner of Seneca, Ronnie (Trudy) Poyner of Mazon, Ill., and Lonnie Poyner of Morris, Ill.; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Robert, on Aug. 11, 1988; one stepson, Jeffrey, on Aug. 9, 1974; four brothers, Donald and Eddie Oval Poyner and twins in infancy; and one niece, Ronette Clubb, in 2005.
Memorials may be given to the Seneca Ambulance Fund or Joliet Area Community Hospice.
