YORKVILLE, Ill. — Fox Country Players will present its second annual benefit concert, “A Night of Broadway,” at the Community Christian Church in Yorkville, for one night only at 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19.

The event will include a silent auction in support of Fox Country Players’ Theatre Arts Academy, which provides a professionally directed, affordable summer program for local students. The Academy experience offers students the opportunity to explore all aspects of the theatre experience, including vocal performance, acting, dancing, and technical skills.

The auction is possible through the generosity of local merchants and individuals, who have donated a wide variety of items, services, and tickets to upcoming events.

The concert features Chicago theatre professional John Campen, along with talented local vocalists including Erin Carroll, Rebecca Hof, Meg McGarry, Cathy Scott, Mike McHugh, Ken Wayne, Matt Weaver, Marilyn DiCola, Paul Ropp, Tim Ropp, Stuart Vance, Jennifer Fule, and Jen Whittington. Academy student vocalists include Will Belles, Zachary Belles, Alexis Dilg, Micah Hett and Nick Miesuk.

The audience will be treated to a variety of familiar as well as little-known songs from the great Broadway musicals, including “Les Miserables,” “Lion King,” “West Side Story,” “Carousel,” “Oliver,”  “Guys and Dolls,” “Goya,” “Songs for a New World,” “Into the Woods” and “Sunset Boulevard.”

Doors will open at 6 p.m. for bidding on silent auction items, prior to the concert at 7 p.m.  Tickets are $15, and may be purchased at the door or through www.foxcountryplayers.org.
