Mazon man sentenced for threatening to kill another person

A Mazon man was convicted Jan. 14 in Grundy County Circuit Court of threatening to kill another person.

Michael S. Dooley, of 1285 E. Braceville Road, Mazon, pleaded guilty and was sentenced for a disorderly conduct charge, a Class A misdemeanor. He was placed on court supervision for one year and fined $175.

According to court documents, Dooley was accused of making a threatening statement to the victim, saying “he would kill (the victim) and bury him somewhere that no one would ever find him.”

Dooley was reported to have threatened the victim on Sept. 23, 2012. The statement, according to court documents, was made in an unreasonable manner as to alarm and disturb the victim.
