A person was extricated out of a vehicle Tuesday morning when the car rolled over in an accident on Cemetery Road.

The Morris Fire Protection and Ambulance District was called to the scene on the 4700 block of Cemetery Road, said Chief Tracey Steffes.

The car struck a utility pole and rolled into the trees.

“The driver got out on his own, but the passenger had to be cut out and was transported to Morris Hospital,” said Steffes.

The one-car accident had two males in the vehicle.

The passenger who was taken to the hospital had injuries that appeared not to be life-threatening, said the chief.

Robert S. Staszel of Shorewood was cited for driving too fast for conditions/failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and improper lane usage.
