Heartland hosting several blood drives

Heartland Blood Centers, an independent not-for-profit blood center serving 47 hospitals in a 12-county region in Illinois and northwest Indiana, is hosting several blood drives in the immediate area.

All community members are encouraged to attend the following blood drives:

• MORRIS — Feb. 8, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Grundy County Administration Center, 1320 Union St. Please call Cheryl at (815) 941-3228 to reserve preferred donation time. Walk-ins welcome; appointments preferred. Please bring a photo ID and eat a good meal before donating.

• MINOOKA — Feb. 9, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Family Video, 453 South Ridge Road. Please sign up online at www.heartlandbc.org or call Family Video at (815) 521-2173 to reserve preferred donation time. Walk-ins welcome; appointments appreciated.

• MORRIS — Feb. 10, from 8 a.m. to noon, at New Community Christian Church, 705 E. Washington. Please call the church office at (815) 942-4255 to reserve preferred donation time. Walk-ins welcome; appointments are appreciated. Please bring a photo ID and eat a good meal before donating.

• MORRIS — Feb. 11, from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., at First United Methodist Church, 118 W. Jackson. Please call the church office at (815) 942-0809 to reserve preferred donation time or sign up online atwww.heartlandbc.org Walk-ins also very welcome. Please bring a photo ID and eat a good meal before donating.
