Dist. 201 to hold kindergarten roundup

MINOOKA — Minooka School District 201 will hold its kindergarten “roundup” for the 2013-14 school year from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, 2013.

If your child will be 5 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2013, he/she will be eligible to attend kindergarten next year.  Please call the school the child will attend next year to schedule an appointment. Call (815) 290-7100 forJones Elementary, (815) 467-3167 for Minooka Primary Center or (815) 290-7500 for Walnut Trails. Parents may call the district office at (815) 467-6121, option 1, if you do not know which school your child will attend.

Registration will also be completed at this time. Registration forms will be available on the district’s website, www.min201.org, and may be completed and brought to the roundup on April 23.

In order to register, parents must provide certified birth certificate (hospital certificate not accepted); three current proofs of residency; and two current utility bills or current insurance bills, driver’s license or State ID
Illinois law requires that a parent or legal guardian prove residency, in order to enroll a child in our schools.

In addition, a Child Health Examination Form, a completed Dental Exam Form, and the Eye Examination Report are required prior to the first day of school.
