William L. Doyle

MARSEILLES, Ill. — Mr. William L. "Dub" Doyle went to meet the Lord on Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, at his son's home in Marseilles, Ill.

Born in Cleveland, Miss., William was the son of the late Walter and Millie Doyle.

"Dub" was committed to his Faith and his church family. He was one of the original founders of the First Baptist Church in Channahon, where he joyfully served for many years as a devoted parishioner and deacon.

William was a distinguished veteran of the United States Army.

He was a skilled barber and a retired employee of Mobil Refinery.

He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

He was the  loving husband of Ruby (Cutts); the cherished father of the late William Doyle, Phillip (Sidena) Doyle, Jenny (Al) Posego and David Doyle; the proud grandfather of Amy Doyle, Serina, Sean and Doug Doyle, Rachel, Jeremy and Justin Sjostrom, Ben and Breana Posego. Also left to cherish his memory is his daughter-in-law, Sherry Doyle. He is the dear brother of Ruth (the late George) Warren and Mae (the late Ottis) Massey.

William was preceded in death by his parents; one son; and grandson, Brian Doyle.

Visitation  for William L. Doyle will be from 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 11, until the funeral service begins at 12:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, Channahon, 24466 W. Eames (U.S. 6).
